Leadpad is an uncured, non-silicone rubber pressure-equalizing sheets. The rubber pressure caul sheets is placed on the surface of the resin-base composite layer before the resin is cured in the molding process of the composite material, and is mainly used for transferring and distributing the pressure, so that the composite material is none of wrinkles, voids, delamination, deformation, bridging and so on, and can be used for blocking the overflow of the resin, and the use of the pressure-equalizing plate can greatly improve the quality of the product of the composite material, and at the same time effectively reduce the rework rate of the composite material component.
Leadpad-H
Leadpad-H and Leadpad-S are rubber pressure caul sheets specially designed for autoclave processing. Apply full vacuum throughout cure cycle and pressurize autoclave to 100 psi (7 bar), minimum recommended pressure is 45 psi (3 bar).Heat to 399°F (180°C) and hold for 2 hours, then cool to room temperature before removing vacuum and demolding from master mold.
